Randy says: "The Rig." How about that
rear weight? Take two old leather belts and strap 'em on. I am
looking for old wheel weights. Now snow this year anyways...
Front view. I bought the thrower for
$150 from a local dealer. New bearings, paint and she's ready to work.
Sets pretty clean, don't she?
That's an aftermarket dump cart.
Dealer had 'em on sale for $115.00
Control panel.
The deck. Painted it
with "POR-15" then "Hard Nose" paint. Pretty solid.
The whole lineup...
The tractor is a Broadmoor II 6011, MFR No 1690347. It is a 11
HP Briggs single cylinder, 3-speed, with a 42" mowing deck. I bought it as
you see it, except for a little paint, from the original owner. I have
less than $1,000 invested in the whole thing, including all the attachments, any
parts and repairs, any painting, and even including tire chains. Not bad,
considering I almost bought a new Deere Spin Steer for 5 grand (would not have
had the thrower or cart, either.) Plus, the Simplicity has much better
quality of cut.
I couldn't resist throwing in a picture of the
ol' F-100 (1980). Guess I just like old iron; or maybe just like cheap
stuff.
