Next project
Rob says:
The big ten that I have now was bought locally and also done
over by myself. That belongs to my daughter Stephanie (Steven in disguise).
The loader was picked up in Tappan NY about three years ago.
It was used in a nursery to load pick-up trucks and landscape trailers with
loam, mulch and gravel. I brought it home, scratched the points, put in a new
battery and some super and away it went. I only had to rebuild the bucket to
have a working unit. It was left with a load of loam in it for ten years or
so. After two years of picking away at it all I need are tires and seat.
The worst part of this story is that I paid $500.00 dollars for the loader,
the Big Ten w/hydro lift that provided the engine for the one Kent's
running today and the B-1 that will be Kent's future project. The Big Ten also
ran when I picked it up.
My next project is going to be this big ten/b-10 with a
high-low tranny and hydro lift. It's complete except for an engine that I now
do have. I'm going to put in a 16 horse Briggs opposed cylinder engine -- a
little different.
