ENGINE -- 4 cycle, 5-3/4 hp, single cylinder, air-cooled heavy duty Briggs &
Stratton with cast iron cylinder sleeve. Improved large recoil starter. Improved ignition performance. Oil both air cleaner for longer engine life. Manual choke with convenient front control. Hinged hood tilts back for easy access.
CLUTCHES -- Simplicity "Soft Action", spring-loaded idlers. Conveniently-located controls.
AXLES -- "Duomafic" two-speed rear axle; exclusive planetary design
has two forward speeds and two reverse. Truck-type differential.
Articulated front axle will clear 8" obstacles.
STEERING -- Complete control of unit concentrated in single sabre grip "Joy Stick." Safety-loaded front wheel spindles permit short turns. Ball taint on steering rods for ease of handling.
TIRES -- Soft, pneumatic, stud-tread, full-traction tires; 4.00x8-2-ply on rear. Soft, pneumatic, non-skid, wide 10-3.50 x 4 stud, 2-ply tread tires on front.
FRAME -- Electrically-welded steel. Center frame of heavy tubular steel.

The Simplicity "Duomatic" axle is
a planetary transmission that shifts easily; permits decreasing speed to increase power. Power is equally divided between both drive wheels by a 4-pinion gear differential. Easy to maneuver with a positive, neutral
position.
